Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To implement and monitor Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and Procedures;
  • objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff, and visitors.
  • To establish budget proposals for the operation of the Occupational Health and Safety office and specific training programs;
  • To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization;
  • To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and to assist in the investigation of all accidents/incidents that result in substantial damage to the property;
  • To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the department head.
  • To respond to employees' safety concerns;
  • To conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of any facility;
  • To respond to fire and other emergencies on or about the company property;
  • To coordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste;
  • To arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants as may be necessary;
  • To coordinate as liaison with all related governmental bodies and regulating agencies;
  • To coordinate the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, workplace inspections, and other matters related to implementing safety procedures in Board facilities;
  • To assist executive staff, senior administrators, Managers, and supervisors in emergency preparedness;
  • To implement appropriate sections of the department's Emergency Procedures Manual;
  • To liaise with the municipality and Emergency planners, update plans, organize exercises and evaluate procedures;
  • To liaise with the fire department regarding emergency procedures, communications, and fire safety education programs;
  • To assume other duties as may be assigned
  • visiting various projects to inspect processes and procedures and ensure good health and safety practices;
  • investigating accidents and complaints and determining if there has been a breach of health and safety law;
  • Carrying out examinations of machinery, working environments, and structures, taking measurements of noise, heat, and vibrations, and taking photographs and samples where necessary;
  • Ensuring workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors, or appropriate types of gloves and clothing;
  • Responsible for any ISO-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degrees or equivalent
  • 5-6 Years Experience in Building Maintenance or Facilities Management industries.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (Mandatory)
  • IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely
  • IMS certification
  • ISO Certification (Mandatory
Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
