BAT EGYPT IS LOOKING FOR A PLANNING SUPERVISOR SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level FUNCTION: Operations SUB FUNCTION: Supply Chain CITY & COUNTRY: Cairo, Egypt
You will manage the flexibility of the manufacturing functions, lead the materials planning function in terms of managing the materials planning activities and manage the Planning Process to support an effective and integrated supply chain to ensure product availability for customers with optimum inventory levels and costs. Reports to: Supply Chain Executive Reporting Level: N/A Geographic Scope: Cairo
  • Ensure rolling production plans for finished goods /FMD & PMD are prepared according to the sales forecasts and target durations.
  • Formulate & maintain shop floor management information system for use by Production Management in measuring & monitoring performance against targets. Ensure that the related reports are delivered regularly.
  • Ensure that the MRP is always updated in the system for the accuracy of materials planning. (SAP & Spreadsheet)
  • Provide accurate stock information to the management team when needed.
  • Provide material availability information to the SOP process.
  • Monitor CRT & WMS waste weekly bases.
  • Monitor and investigate outstanding purchase plan versus actual exceptions. Ensure that processes are in place to identify improvement areas of purchasing planning.
  • Ensure all the procedures in the department are documented and followed
  • Ability to interpret, evaluate & act upon the data in the company’s forecasting process
  • Detailed knowledge of scheduling methods and ability to refine the planning system on a short-term basis to produce the most efficient plans / schedules
  • Knowledge required to understand the system capacity constraints & recommend the most efficient way of increasing capacity
  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles of materials requirements planning (MRP)
  • Ability of using planning tools & statistics. A good knowledge of the tobacco manufacturing process
  • SAP experience
  • Engineering University Degree or 2 -3 years of related field experience in FMCG
  • Do you have recent experience in DRP/MRP management?
  • Have you used SAP/ ERP in Planning activities?
  • Are you familiar with Excel MRP models and Capacity planning models?
