Job Description

Our client a high end Supermarket is looking to fill the position of Fresh Food Produce Manager. The main duties would involve the following:

• Sustains and elevates the level of knowledge/awareness of relevant competitors and

industry trends.

• Oversees new store set up and support, layout and design, and ordering of equipment.
• Coordinates training and support for new Team Leaders.
• Develops product mix in all teams reflective of regional/local business needs including

new item/vendors and innovative new programs including new product procurement
and development.

• Develops merchandising systems and procedures for stores including new store

merchandising.

• Visits stores and develops/refines current execution of merchandising plan.
• Develops programs Attends and participates in Store Ops and Leadership meetings.
• Works together with other Store Team Leaders and Managers to achieve regional and

company goals.

• Communicates, represents, and upholds our company values and business

philosophy to customers, Team Members and vendors.

• Mentors new and less experienced Department Team Members.
• Interviews, selects, hires, trains, develop, counsels and terminate Team Leaders and

Department Team Members.

• Approves the selection and hiring, counseling, and separating of Team Members.
• Communicates clear and consistent expectations of all Team Member's job

performance.

• Builds and sustains a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual

respect, and exceptional morale.

• Leads by example. Exemplifies ideal behavior and performance.
• Knows all Team member job duties. Knows and performs Team member job duties

when needed.

• Communicate with farmers to plan seasonality and availability of products
• Plan import of products with growers and traders to secure availability
• Visit Farms to increase communication with farmers

Qualifications

• English Language Proficiency (spoken, reading and written)
• Preferred High School passed, graduate would be an added advantage

Experience ? Demonstrated a minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership experience overseeing 10 or
more people in a grocery retail environment

• Must have extensive product knowledge.
