The position shall operate as an HR Manager to all the business units and support functions existing in the country. As such the incumbent is responsible for proactively advising and influencing management teams on the HR implications of business strategies and to implement HR programs that support business objectives whilst being aligned with HR global practices and processes
This position is accountable for the following end results:
Ensures that HR and management practices in the country are compliant with local legislation; manages localrelationships with external authorities (Labour inspectors, Social Security, pension institutes, unemployment bureau).
Is responsible for (proactively) managing industrial relations and successfully conducting local negotiations.This includes managing directly or indirectly all relationships with Works Councils (3) , Safety committees, union delegates, staff representatives.
Supports the Performance Enhancement process, advising and guiding managers and employees through all aspects of the process : cascading objectives, appraisals, compensation planning, relative assessment, human resources planning (HRP), multi-rater feedback, employee development and career management.
Conduct internal and external recruitment activities as required by business needs, advising on sourcing strategy, job posting, selection of final candidate, job offer and on-boarding.
Conducts terminations as per business plans -Advises managers on manpower planning and organization changes (design of new organizations, manpower requirements, labour costs ,selection of candidates, position evaluations,…)
Promote a working environment which stimulates performance and retention
communication sessions with managers, establishing the link of HR actions and plans with talent
Conducts due diligence assessments for potential acquisitions and is responsible for the HR integration/divestiture strategy.
Manages local benefits specific to the country : medical, pensions, company cars,transport allowances, etc ensuring competitiveness on themarket and administration process efficiency.
Advises on market practices and market conditions to define the annual salary policy -Provides advice to employees on any HR matter, as required. In particular supports employee communication working with management and Communication specialists as appropriate
Participates inkey European and/or global projects/initiatives and CI events to further enhance HR capabilities globally.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
is an experienced, HR Manager, with business acumen,capable of directing change management initiatives withinthe country. He/she has 7 to 10 years of experience in asimilar type of organization: international and progressive
on the HR front, and is familiar with all local HR legislation and requirements to ensure that business Managers are advised correctly, on the legal implications of the business strategy. The incumbent has presence, visibility, and personality that will enable them to immediately establish credibility through all levels of the organization. Most importantly, he/she is self confident, determined,possesses the right balance of pragmatism and ability to
see the “bigger picture”. The job holder feels comfortable
influencing and coaching managers. He/she is a team player, a relationship builder, with strong ethics and values, passionate and flexible. The ability to work through individuals and build relationships is essential.
The incumbent must have a high level of proficiency in English
to be able to communicate on phone, emails and international meetings.
