With direction from the PRA Manufacturing Director, the role is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations across Southeast Asia aligned to business strategies, providing technical support as required, and ensuring compliance to Group manufacturing requirements. The role is also responsible of designing and implementing procurement strategies to source ingredients, materials, and co-packing services for current and future manufacturing operations in Asia, partnering up with suppliers to deliver value on innovation, sustainability, profitability, and security of supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Southeast Asia manufacturing
Take over responsibility for manufacturing projects in Southeast Asia
Responsible for functional support to ongoing operations (day to day management is the responsibility of the local market company)
Lead and implement new initiatives e.g. RTD, other brand launches within existing footprint.
Seek & develop alternate partners and suppliers as needed
Lead and oversee co-packing and outsourcing operations in Southeast Asia
Ensure manufacturing activities comply with Group operational requirements
Regional Procurement
Liaise with marketing and innovation hubs to identify and ensure the new needs of the business are secured in a timely fashion
Define strategies to optimally source and supply goods and outsourcing services according to specifications
Build partnerships with strategic suppliers to secure competitive advantage
Identify, develop, and mange suppliers as necessary to ensure they are qualified and meet Group requirements
Negotiate and execute appropriate agreements in line with Group best practices
Secure competitive prices for goods and services
Identify and implement procurement synergies across the regional manufacturing operations
Communicate to the business supplier innovations to gain competitive advantage
Collaborate with marketing and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time new product launches
Collaborate with and support market companies in the definition and execution of industrial capex plans aligned to business needs
Perform value engineering from time to time to optimise value proposition in collaboration with marketing and manufacturing teams
Report on activities as required to ensure performance visibility to business
Collaborate with Group Chief Procurement Officer to ensure alignment with Group procurement policies

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
Degree holder with formal qualifications in finance, procurement, or business strategy
Minimum 10 years working experience in food or beverage environment
Strategic and growth mindset
Planning and organisational skills
Strong inter-personal skills
Ability to effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds
High sense of urgency, able to meet tight deadlines
Fluent in English
Desirable:
Working experience within Pernod Ricard
Knowledge of the supply environment in Asia
Bilingual
Knowledge of food compliance
