This is an exciting role to have financial management responsibility of major trading entity in the Middle East (circ.$80m), and oversight of trading entities in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. To evolve the organization, processes and procedures to create a lean, efficient finance operation that leverages our global scale and supports the business, built on a solid foundation of controls and compliance. To lead a finance team of 6 heads.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the finance team. Recruit, train and retain key talent.
  • Responsible for all ledgers, controls, compliance, payroll and financial processes of three legal entities
  • Understand and support operational accounting in a service center environment
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Accountable for the balance sheet and cashflow of the region
  • Timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Internal and External Audit management
  • Support commercial and operations accounting in formation of budgets and forecasts
  • Continuous improvement of financial processes, utilizing IT / ERP as appropriate
  • Member of local cross-functional management team
  • Oversight of the finance function of the Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan entities
  • Key member of the Controlling finance group
  • Support the business partnering activities for Middle East, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan
  • Ad Hoc projects and tasks as required, including ROI, move to new territories, accounting standards and continuous improvement

The Individual
  • Educated to undergraduate level minimum, CPA level desirable
  • Minimum 15 years working in a global and /or large corporate and manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrable record of people management
  • Large ERP experience required, implementation experience desired
  • Change management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think clearly, be organized and execute effectively
