Job Overview EGIS is looking for a BIM/CAD operator who will be responsible for creation and implementation of 2D drawings, sketches and Building Information Models (BIM) for various assets within a Master planning project located in Riyadh.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Assist the BIM Manager and Project Delivery Team(s) in day to day BIM implementation activities
- Support the design and construction team with model visualizations
- Coordinate with Architecture, Structure, Finishing and other MEP and underground utilities services.
- Use BIM modeling software from Autodesk such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks
- Run interference detection and detect design clashes to assist project team with coordination process
- Assist the BIM manager in reviewing and Federating models
- Uses CAD and other computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks
- Ability to read construction, architecture and infrastructure drawings
- Prepare 2D & 3D design drawings and models for client/project team review
- Produce sketches using CAD software
- Communicate potential design issues to Senior Design Managers and Construction team.
- Prepare/draft and create and update existing drawings
- Create various 2D drawings following BIM manager and Design team instructions
Profile
Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree with five years minimum experience working in a construction, engineering or architect role.
- BIM experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good oral communication
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Software experience with Navisworks, 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Revit
