Coordinate and monitor the preparation, review, and submission of medical bills and insurance claims.
Ensure accuracy of patient billing based on services rendered and documentation provided.
Work closely with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
Oversee the verification of insurance coverage, authorizations, and eligibility checks.
Track and follow up on denied or delayed claims, ensuring timely resubmission and resolution.
Support the billing team in resolving complex billing issues and patient account queries.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, coding updates, and insurance requirements.
Assist in training and guiding junior billing staff on policies and procedures.
Generate regular billing and collection reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, medical billing standards, and patient confidentiality policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in medical billing experience.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing codes (ICD-10, CPT), and insurance processes.
Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office tools.
Familiarity with Qatar's healthcare insurance systems (if locally based).
