Role Purpose:

To assist the Property Manager in the implementation of the FM Contract SLA's and KPIs and training/audit of Fire, Evacuation and Health and Safety policies & procedures across the Oman Region portfolio incorporating and updating current policies to ensure that we remain compliant to local and international laws, insurer requirements and industry best practice.

Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Understand, abide by and implement the company, governmental and international health, safety and environmental standards, regulations and guidelines 2. Assist in carrying out Safety Audits and Fire Evacuation exercises in all Operational Malls at least once each year with report and recommendations for improvement. 3. Enhance companywide awareness of the health and safety policy through information & effective training. 4. Ensure that each mall has adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities where appropriate. 5. Assist in preparing and carrying out regular training programs for staff and tenants on Fire and Evacuation and general Health and Safety 6. Provide advice and assistance to Mall management teams on the management of tenant fire Safety 7. Carry out assessments of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements to mitigate risks identified from the assessments. 8. Review with Property Manager and update emergency procedures, evacuation plans, safety signs and incident reporting. 9. Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices, systems and accident reporting and investigations. 10. Manage and monitor the FM activities at site (PPM, CM, civil works etc.), to ensure activities are carried out within the set timelines, financials budget and conform to the quality standards agreed. 11. Support the client business teams (Mall Management, Marketing, Leasing .. etc.) in timely resolution of their queries related to facilities management in coordination with applicable departments. 12. Follow up handover stages of the newly developed assets to oversee FM requirements. 13. Identify and recommend to the business unit and department head major improvements required to enhance the existing facilities 14. Monitor and maintain records of utilities expenditure and implement initiatives of sustainability and utilities cost saving projects. 15. Assist the department head in the development of short term and long-term business plans and preparation of Community Service Charges, OPEX and CAPEX FM budgets, monitor budget utilization and highlight any budget variances. 16. Ensure compliance with the MAFP SMBU's Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times. 17. Be the advocate and ambassador of aligning and cascading the MAFP values across SMBU and ensure that relevant team adhered to and exhibit the same all the time. 18. Assist property Manager Oman on other tasks required related to risk and Security assessment. Definition of Success

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent. Certification in Fire or Safety is desirable. Minimum 3 - 5 years' work experience in Fire, Health and Safety programs preferably in a reputed Retail / large Shopping Malls.
