Job Description

Develop and manage a Regulatory Compliance Program on Strategic Export Controls, as well as general customs regulatory reporting to Regional Management (AMIEO Regional EC Lead, AMIO Regional Director Customs & Trade).
The AMIO Manager for Export Compliance is responsible for establishing and maintaining a Regulatory Compliance Program on Strategic Export Controls, as well as general customs regulatory reporting to Regional Management In compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, in force and in accordance with the internal policy of Nissan, the AMIO Manager for export compliance contributes to the implementation of the Global program of regulatory compliance on Strategic Controls for Export. This covers a wide array of items, such as vehicles, production parts and components, after-market service parts, consumables, merchandising materials, machinery, equipment, software and technology to local and foreign buyers. Responsible for compliance in AMIO. General Customs & Trade Export support for NMEG/NKSA/NMEF
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement local and regional policies.
Develop and manage export regulatory compliance program for AMIO
Develop and manage central SharePoint containing all relevant regulatory compliance information, providing user accessibility to all AMIO entities, functions and process owners.
Develop and manage export compliance and regulatory cascading process for all AMIO entities and relevant functions, distributing up to date information on global and regional developments.

  • Visibility on local country laws (AMIO) - Japan Export Laws - US Export Laws - EU Export Laws
Develop and deliver monthly and quarterly AMIO export compliance reporting for regional and global management visibility.
Annual export operations and compliance risk assessments for all AMIO entities.
Perform due diligence screening for all AMIO entities (Denied-Party / End Use / End User)
Create and maintain reference database for all AMIO business partners (NSC, Dealers, Brokers, etc.)
Identify and manage lists for restricted & dual-use goods (CBU, CKD, Aftersales, Equipment)
Develop and implement annual Export Compliance training plan for AMIO
US person management and training for AMIO
Visibility on local country laws (AMIO)
Work with business to understand their requirements and impact on regulatory export needs
Reporting to AMIEO Regional lead - meet global team on a monthly basis
Weekly meetings about local issues, concerns, follow up dialogues

Experience:
Automotive Industry
Multinational Exposure
Customs / Tax/ Financial management /SCM / Corporate Compliance
Export regulatory framework and impact determination
US re-export control
Risk assessment
Technical Experience:
Classification (Import - HS Code and Export - ECN) knowledge
Global trade system - (ERP)
Educational background:
Bachelors degree or equivalent; technical qualification is a plus
